I’m celebrity fashion stylist Marcellas Reynolds for Midnight Velvet.

Ladies, the color of the moment is cobalt. From accessories like these shoes, to purses, to a flash of cobalt in jewelry, this color is everywhere. It’s even in the hair, like on celebrities like Katy Perry and Lady Gaga.

And what’s more sophisticated than this slinky cobalt dress with classic gold accessories?

My favorite way to wear cobalt is with black. Look for dresses with this color-blocking detail that creates a super slimming silhouette.

What I love about this stunning cobalt suit is it breaks up beautifully. Pair this ruched jacket with a pair of black pants or black leggings and high black boots. But I love this skirt with this slimming detail on the side with a black tunic and this gorgeous chunky necklace.

And ladies, don’t be afraid to wear cobalt with white in the summer for a sleek, sophisticated, chic summer look.
