If some of you have been following us on Facebook you would have seen my pics from my last shoot abroad! This time we set sail on the Seabourn Odyssey from Venice, Italy and finished a week later in Athens, Greece. While some of the pictures looked like it was all just fun and games, behind the scenes we were starting work at 4:30am some days and ending at 10pm. The nice thing about this sort of schedule is there’s typically a break mid-day. This meant we actually got to get of the ship to see some of the amazing ports along the way.
First stop was Croatia followed by Montenegro and on to various Greek Islands. One was more delicious than the next:) I particularly loved the lunch we shared at a charming, family owned restaurant on top of a hill in Pylos, overlooking the Adriatic Sea. It was difficult to remember to get back on board:)
Working on a cruise ship allows one to experience some of the luxuries that a guest might receive. In this case 24 hour room service, champagne and caviar when so desired and various entertainment options were all available to us…when we were not working.
This was overall, a great experience on a first class ship hosting 450 guests compared to the 4,000 plus one might encounter on another cruise line. I highly recommend the Seabourn Odyssey as a great way to see the world in amazing style.
