Whether you are participating in this day or not, we’d like to take a moment and recognize our daughters and appreciate the impact they have had on our lives. Tell us what you love most about your daughter in the comments below.
“When I come home, my daughter will run to the door and give me a big hug, and everything that’s happened that day just melts away.” –Hugh Jackman
“My daughter is my greatest inspiration.” –Whitney Houston
“I don’t want to be too strict, because I think kids can get rebellious, but I want to raise my daughter to be passionate about doing good things and pursuing real things and hobbies instead of frivolous materialistic stuff.” -Holly Madison
“When a mother quarrels with a daughter, she has a double dose of unhappiness hers from the conflict, and empathy with her daughter’s from the conflict with her. Throughout her life a mother retains this special need to maintain a good relationship with her daughter.” –Terri Apter
P.S. We actually know it’s now Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day, but we are honoring the original intentions when the day was created which was to lift up and celebrate girls and women! The day was initiated in 1993 by Ms. Foundation for Women and it was created to give girls additional direct attention and an insight into work world opportunities available to them.
