Really? 8 glasses of water a day?

 

Is that really necessary? Health care professionals will tell you, "Absolutely!" (and even more if you're in a warm climate)

More than 60% of our body is water—the brain is 70% water; blood is 82% water and lungs are almost 90% water. Your brain works 24:7 and relies on water more than any other organ in your body to help you think clearly and make your entire body function more efficiently.

Those 8 glasses of water will cleanse your body by helping to remove toxins and help to cool your body (much like the radiator in a car).

Coffee, tea and carbonated beverages don't provide the same "healing powers" of water and may actually dehydrate the body.

So the next time you pickup groceries or fill-up your car's gas tank, remember to refuel your body with water. Take a water bottle wherever you go…your body will thank you

  • Sure need hydration.

  • You can get fluids from soup,vegees,fruits also. But pure sweet water fushes a lot of toxins. Carbonated drinks have water in them but also sugars, hi fructose CORN SYRUP which is cheaper and used too often to sweeten everything from soups,drinks,dry goods,etc. HFCS is suspected of increasing obesity,AND Diabetes!, Attention Deficit Disorder not only in children but in adults. Calories in sugar give a beating to other organs too.Also Sugars,suspected in Cancer increasing.

  • I was watching the Dr. Oz Show, and he was stating we don't need to "drink" the full 8 glasses IF ur diligent with ur diet and get enough vegs and fruits.
